Black History Xtravaganza Play

I served as one of five writers for Where Grace Finds Us, an original stage production developed and performed at Hampton University during Black History Month. Over the course of a little more than a month, our team conceptualized, wrote, and brought to life a full-length play exploring themes of healing, identity, faith, and the emotional landscapes we inherit.

In this role, I contributed to story development, character creation, dialogue writing, and thematic structuring, ensuring the narrative remained cohesive and emotionally resonant. I helped guide rehearsals, workshopping scenes with actors, shaping pacing and blocking, and making creative decisions that strengthened the play’s visual and emotional impact.

Where Grace Finds Us reflects my commitment to collaborative storytelling and my ability to build meaningful, culturally grounded narratives under tight creative timelines. Being part of this production allowed me to merge writing, direction, and community-centered artistry into one transformative project, and stands as one of the most significant creative experiences of my collegiate journey.
