During my internship with FOX 5 DC, I published more than 100 digital news articles covering breaking news, public safety, community affairs and national developments. Working in a fast-paced newsroom, I gained hands-on experience writing for digital audiences, navigating daily news cycles and producing timely, accessible coverage for readers across the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
My work ranged from developing stories to responding to emerging news, strengthening my ability to write with accuracy, clarity and urgency while adapting to the demands of digital journalism.

In addition to daily digital reporting, I contributed to newsroom workflows and developed a digital audience strategy proposal informed by observations of news production and audience engagement. This experience deepened my understanding of how editorial decisions, digital distribution and audience behavior intersect in a local newsroom.
