As a writer for Her Campus Hampton University, I create lifestyle, culture, and wellness articles that center the experiences of Black collegiate women. My work bridges personal storytelling with editorial structure, exploring topics such as identity, mental health, womanhood, relationships, and campus culture. I write with a voice that is reflective, relatable, and grounded in narrative insight, aiming to amplify perspectives often overlooked in mainstream student media.
Through this role, I’ve strengthened my editorial writing skills, learned to tailor content for a digital-first audience, and contributed to a publication that celebrates authenticity, community, and the complexity of the Black college experience.
